What are clip-on hair extensions?

Extensions are added to your own hair using clips. There are many variations of styles and lengths. Human clip-on hair extensions can be cut, curled and styled.

What color do I choose?

We sell a color ring so you can choose the perfect color for you. We actually sell you one of our color rings instead of one of our sets. The color ring has all of our colors on it and is essentially a ring of hair colors. You look at all of the colors and then return the ring with your order and let us know your color selection. Once returned we apply the amount you paid for the Color Ring to your set purchase. We then send you out the set that you picked. When choosing a color choose a shade that matches your own hair or slightly lighter. Match the middle and ends of your hair and not the new outgrowth. Colors may be represented differently on different computer monitors.

Should I choose straight or wavy hair?

Straight clip-on extensions are nice for straight styles that you do not wish to have much curl. Body wave clip-on extensions are so versatile because they can be worn straight or curled. They are fuller due to the wave.

How much hair do I need?

Our sets include a total of 39 includes of hair extension wefts. One set is usually enough. You may like more than one set of clip ons if: you are going quite a bit longer than your own hair, your hair is thick or you have a short haircut. You can add as much hair as you like making your new hair extensions as thick or long as you want.

How are extensions attached to your head?

We use a polmyer covered clip with grip teeth and rubber bar to ensure a strong tight hold. The clips are aligned along the weft (material that holds the hair and clip) of the extensions and spaced accordingly to ensure a proper clip to coverage ratio. These clips snap along your scalp.

Are extensions hard to put in?

The clip-on extensions are easy to apply. At first you may need a little help but in no time you will be putting your hair in and out in minutes. The clips are very secure and easy to put in. You do not have to be a stylist and can do this in the privacy of your own home. Each brand comes with easy instructions showing how to apply the hair. You can view videos to see how to apply them.

Will extensions damage my hair?

No, they will not damage your own hair. Clip on extensions are a great alternative to weaving, braiding and adhesive hair extensions, which can damage your own hair. Clip ons can give your head a rest and help healthy hair grow.

How do I care for my new clip-on extensions?

Extension hair does not get as dirty as your regular hair so you don't have to wash it as often. The less you wash them the longer they will last. Use a leave in detangler or glossifier. Use only low settings on curling irons and blow dryers. *Let hair dry naturally if you can. Caruso steamrollers are great for extensions because they add moisture to the hair.

Can I color my extensions?

Yes they can be colored, but we recommend you use a hair professional. Our sets come with 2 tester pieces for a hair dresser to test or try coloring on before the entire set is colored. We recommend you use the tester pieces before putting any chemicals on the hair. As with your own human hair, the sets can be ruined if the chemicals used are too aggressive. So please use the tester pieces first and use a qualified professional.

Can I brush my hair with extensions in?

Yes, brush them lightly and carefully so they are not pulled out of place once you have applied them.

Can I wear my extensions to bed?

We recommend taking them out before your go to bed. This keeps the hair from tangling while sleeping. The great advantage to clip on extensions is being able to take them off at night.

Can I cut my extensions?

Yes, you can cut the extensions. The hair tends to be a bit thinner towards the end of the extensions just like real hair grows. We recommend giving them a trim or cut to get the style you are looking for and to clean up the ends.

What products should I use on my clip-on hair extensions?

Use products for dry hair. Avoid products for oily or normal hair or clarifiers. Use a mild shampoo, conditioner and leave in detangler. Use detanglers and glossifers lightly.

Will clip-on hair extensions work with my curly hair?

Clip on hair extensions come in straight and a slight wave and do not work with curly hair unless your hair is straightened.

Will clip-on hair extensions work with real thin hair?

Yes, depending on the severity of the thinning. You will need enough hair to lie over the top of the weft and clip to cover it. Backcombing the hair above the weft can help hide the weft and clip. Backcombing and hair spraying the hair where you will attach the clip helps make the clip even more secure,

Can I get clip-on extensions in highlights and lowlights?

Yes, this is also a great way to save your hair from the damage coloring can do. Choose 1 set of clip ons to match your base color and choose 1 set in a shade lighter for highlights or darker for low lights. Clip them in alternating the colors.

What type of payment options can be used?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Money Orders and Cashier Checks.

Is there a charge for sales tax?

We only charge sales tax to orders being shipped to a Minnesota address.

When will my order be shipped?

We offer same day shipping on orders received by 1 pm CST.

What are my shipping options?

We ship using United States Postal Service. Product are shipped using Priority Mail. Priority Mail takes 2-3 days for most of the country (Hawaii and Alaska slightly longer). The product is shipped from the warehouse located in Indianapolis, IN. The closer you are located to Indianapolis the sooner you will receive the product. If you need the product sooner you may choose to select UPS 2nd Day or Next Day Air services.

How much is Shipping?

We offer free shipping on orders of $50.00 or more. Orders of $49.99 or less, we have a flat $6.99 shipping charge.

Can my package be shipped internationally?

Sorry, we do not ship outside of the United States.

Can I return a product that I purchased?

Yes, you have 14 days from the date of purchase to return an item. See our Return Policy. You must submit a return authorization form to have your return processed. You will be responsible for the return shipping costs.
